10 PLATFORM
Under Construction.
Or frankly speaking, no idea more than updating this blog as of now.
If anybody has any idea, please advise.
Goal of “Distancology”
1. To provide a PLATFORM to discuss about things by paying attention to “Distance” embedded to the subjects
5. To change this world just a little bit more ENJOYABLE
2. To provide a TOOL to solve problems
3. To cultivate FOUNDATION to integrate “Distancology” into a kind of Pop-Piholophy
4. To encounter an ACCIDENT with somebody in the world to whom any of discussion in here gives a hint for his/her slightly better life than yesterday by coninsidence or misinterpretation
5. To change this world just a little bit more ENJOYABLE

Distance engraved in Surface of Tree Trunk
<Cherry in Japan>
Distance as Years the tree lived till today
Distance between life of the tree and environment
Distance between the life of tree and moss
Distance of all lives of whom played in the park where the tree was planted, of whom cherished its beautiful blossoms every year and of whom just passed by
Distance of all winds, rains and sunshine for years
<Palm tree in Jakarta>
Immeasurable...
I was trapped by the word “distance” almost 20 years before.
And started this kind of blog to memorize for myself.
“Distancology” is half joke but half serious for me.
But sometimes we have to admit, there are things we cannot measure......
- Death
- One-sided love
- Conflict
- Dream
Or etc.
Previously I idiotically imagined such “Distancology” can suggest a hint or help people to solve problems in their lives. Something like a methodology or even a Philosofy.
But the real issues in a life are far beyond “distance”.
Still, or rather, that’s why, I would like to continue silly blog!

“Manchester by the Sea”
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manchester_by_the_Sea_(film)
Spoiler alert
Distance between Daddy and his little kids
Distance between life and death
Distance between a stove and flammable floor
Distance in fire
Distance between home and a conenience store
Distance between crazy fun and a tragedy
Distance between memories and a fact
Distance betweeen inexhaustible love and a mistake
Distance between alchole and life
Distance between a husband and his ex-wife
Distance between an uncle and his nephew
Distance between trauma and a life in front
Distance between Manchester by the sea and Boston
Distance between a boy and an alcoholic mother
Distance between two brothers
Distance between friends
Distance between male friends and a wife
Sea and a boat as hopeful Distance between the nephew’s new life and the uncle’s irrecoverable wounded life
I used to think a movie which connote various kinds of distance between things is great movie, but the “Manchester by the Sea” shows more (or rather should I say, none?)
One way direction towards lost kids as infinity distance, immeasurable distance...
That’s why this movie is so heavy and bring people at a loss for words.
This is not at all just a story of one guy trying to have his life over again.
Rather, he gave up that and stood in front of the fact.
Excellent movie.
